Salim Nasir Actor Pictures Interview Biography

Saleem Nasir (Urdu: سلیم ناصر) (1989 – 1944) was a Pakistani film and TV actor. He was a pashto speaking pakhtoon who was master in Urdu. His real name was Syed Shair Khan and belonged from Mardan (Adina) but was born in Nagpur, India as his mother belonged from there. With his experience in film and television acting, he developed mastery in artistic skills and built a phenomenal career on being versatile. He did justice to every role that was offered to him. He also published his own entertainment magazine, TV Tempo and was leading force behind another magazine TV Times.

Background

Born to an educated family, Salim Nasir had all the ingredients necessary to fulfill his ambition in any given profession. He had a successful career in Public Relations, with Defence Housing Authority, Karachi. His family is his wife, two daughters and a son.

Career

In view of his uncommon talent and magnetic personality, Salim Nasir was the guest in Anwar Maqsood's stage show, Silver Jubilee, in 1983.

Death

At the age of 45 years, Nasir suffered a heart attack on 24th September 1989. On Thursday, October 19 he experienced signs of extreme heart congestion around noon. He was rushed to hospital but expired before any medical treatment could be provided.
